Following her 10 years long odyssey, Kinga Szantho founded her resort wear line Borneo in 2014. Focusing on ancient weaving techniques passed through generations, her creations explore the tropic latitudes of Capricorn and Cancer. With a taste for the antique, essential feminine styles come alive in plant-based unique fibers optimized for sustainability, to leave a minimal footprint on the environment. 

Although Kinga has always admired exquisite materials, her call to create hand-touched humble pieces awakened in Bali, the captivating island where art is part of everyday life and beauty is understood as an effortless gesture. Each Borneo collection evokes the eternal desire to be enriched by connecting cultures, a belief in carefree life, treasuring what you see and what you like, wherever you are.

All of borneo's products are created from high quality natural fabrics, using techniques, such as various forms of weaving and embroidery, that have been perfected through continuous practice for countless generations. 

Designs focus on letting the materials show their natural beauty, merging modern minimalism with traditional patterns. Our products are a fusion of ancient tribal art and European modern culture. Designed in Hungary and manufactured in Bali, by local artisans. All materials are completely natural and harvested locally and sustainably.
